so......what's new?

what's new on my end? a few things actually! The last few months I've had a flurry of new designs launch. I am very proud that elm & gray officially has designs on the ENTIRE family of shutterfly sites...tiny prints, wedding paper divas, treat and now shutterfly!

this invitation | that cake

I was laying in bed "pinning" stuff last night and I came across this adorable cake! And then I was like, "wait a minute.....I know why I love it....it looks just like my invitation for wedding paper divas".  How fun that I happened to run across this! Looks like this creative couple & bakery used  my invitation to inspire this trendy gray/yellow cake.

I love it. I love to see how people use their invitation design (especially when it's mine) to inspire other components of their wedding day!  Have I mentioned lately that I L-O-V_E what I do!??!!

idyllic inscription | new wedding invitation suite

I have a new invitation suite on wedding paper divas. I am a tad bit obsessed with it. I actually really love looking at it!  If I was getting married again...this design would be IT for me.

I think a lot of brides-to-be feel the same way because it's currently among the top sellers (yay!). It makes me so happy to think that my designs are helping people to celebrate one of the most important days in their lives. I get all choked up thinking about it. I am so lucky.

Oh....and it comes in two color palettes. I love them both.

stationery inspiration | modern wedding cake

I had a deadline this morning for one of my partners, wedding paper divas. I was showing my oldest son some of my submissions and he asked me, "how do you keep coming up with different ideas, isn't it hard?".  I guess if you are a designer, this question is a no-brainer...we don't run out of ideas because we are constantly inspired by EVERYTHING we see.   For my latest batch of designs, I bookmarked this beautiful wedding cake because it caught my attention on pinterest.

After staring at this beautiful cake long enough, I translated this cake design into this stationery design.  I personally love it but I'll have to see if it makes "the cut". Fingers and toes are crossed :).
